PRE-SAFE® system

The system is able to identify critical handling situations in advance and initiate preventive measures for occupant protection in the event of an impending accident. Its functionality covers reversible belt tensioning and other measures, the most recent of which is PRE-SAFE® Sound. PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side can prepare the front occupants for a side-on collision by moving them sideways, thereby reducing the risk of injury. In the event of an unavoidable side collision, the system can emit an impulse, pushing the driver or the front passenger on the impact side towards the centre of the vehicle. This side-on impulse is created by inflating an air cushion in the seat side bolster very quickly.

DYNAMIC SELECT

DYNAMIC SELECT changes the handling characteristics at the press of a button. Use different drive programs which change the characteristics of the engine, transmission, suspension and steering, for example.
